My 600-lb Life: Charity Pierce’s Journey & Where She Is Now
Charity Pierce, featured in My 600-lb Life season 3, transformed her life dramatically. At 39, weighing 778 pounds, she sought help from Dr. Now to lose weight and visit her mother, who had brain cancer. After immediate hospitalization, she underwent weight loss surgery. Despite setbacks, including her mother’s passing, she eventually lost 282 pounds.
In Where Are They Now?, Charity continued losing weight but faced complications, including severe infections. Dr. Now removed 38 pounds of excess skin, requiring a long hospital stay. Her daughter, Charly, who also struggled with weight, joined Dr. Now’s program and later qualified for bariatric surgery.
Charity’s personal life took a hit when her fiancé, Tony, cheated on her with her sister. She turned to unhealthy habits but recovered, losing more weight. A later skin removal surgery led to a painkiller overdose, causing Dr. Now to lose trust in her.
By 2020, Charity and Charly had ups and downs but kept the weight off. Charity battled kidney cancer, had a kidney removed, and recovered. Charly got engaged, had a baby in 2022, and welcomed another child in October 2023. Charity continues to focus on her health and family.
