When Brooke returns from a weeklong work trip, eager to relax with her favorite snack, she discovers her peanut butter jar half-empty. Her husband Aaron, severely allergic to peanuts, denies eating it. Suspicious, Brooke checks their security cameras and finds a surprising secret: Aaron had secretly fostered a dog while she was away.
The dog, fed peanut butter as a treat, had stayed in their home despite Aaron’s usual resistance to pets. Aaron confesses his lifelong dream of having a dog and his fear Brooke wouldn’t approve. Touched, Brooke suggests adopting a hypoallergenic breed. Soon after, they welcome Daisy, a Maltese, into their lives. Daisy becomes the joy of their home, and Brooke gladly shares her peanut butter—with Daisy, not Aaron.
