Dog Barks at Coffin during Funeral, Suspicious Son Opens It and Finds It Empty – Story of the Day

Ryan’s life turned upside down when his loyal dog, Bella, disrupted his father’s funeral by barking at the casket. Acting on instinct, Ryan opened the casket, only to discover it was empty.

Shocked, Ryan launched his own investigation. The funeral director provided no answers, and the coroner had mysteriously resigned. Desperate for clues, Ryan discovered Arnold’s files missing from the morgue and his email account wiped clean. Arnold’s lawyer, Mr. Stevens, revealed troubling financial issues and hinted at an affair with Arnold’s secretary, Miss Pearson, who became Ryan’s next lead.

Breaking into Miss Pearson’s home, Ryan found a life insurance policy naming her as the beneficiary. He turned the evidence over to Detective Bradshaw, but Miss Pearson managed to flee. Clinging to the belief that his father was alive, Ryan pursued a clue about a rare figurine Arnold had coveted. He sold company shares to buy the figurine and used it as bait, arranging for it to be auctioned.

At the auction, Ryan’s gamble paid off—Arnold revealed himself, bidding on the figurine. But his relief turned to anger as he confronted his father. Arnold confessed he had faked his death to escape his old life and start anew with Miss Pearson, even staging the empty casket funeral to claim life insurance.

Detective Bradshaw arrested Arnold for fraud and assured Ryan that Miss Pearson would also face justice. As Arnold was taken away, Ryan reflected on the betrayal and the principles his father had abandoned, determined to rebuild his life with integrity.
