Zoe, a nurse, often relied on her mother-in-law, Denise, to babysit her son, Leo, while she worked. But when Leo became visibly distressed by Denise’s presence, Zoe grew suspicious. One night, before a shift, Leo cried and said he didn’t want Grandma because she “acted strange.” Zoe brushed it off, but when she returned home the next day, Leo revealed that Denise had been trying to force cotton buds into his mouth, claiming she wanted to “put his spit in the tube.”
Confronting Denise, Zoe was met with an apology, but tension grew between Zoe and her husband, Andrew. Denise had suggested that Leo might not be Andrew’s son, planting doubt. Andrew insisted on a DNA test to settle the matter. Reluctantly, Zoe agreed, with the condition that Andrew take a test too, to prove that his father was truly his biological dad.
The results confirmed that Leo was Andrew’s son, but shockingly, it revealed that Andrew’s biological father was not the man he had known as Dad. Denise had kept this secret for years, leaving Andrew feeling betrayed. In the end, Zoe and Andrew decided to distance themselves from Denise and focus on their own family.
