Barry Manilow shares a personal health update, confirming a lung cancer diagnosis.

Legendary singer Barry Manilow has announced the postponement of his January 2026 arena concerts after revealing a recent health diagnosis. The 82 year old shared with fans that routine testing following a long bout of bronchitis led doctors to discover a small cancerous spot on his left lung.

Manilow confirmed the cancer was caught early and has not spread. He is scheduled to undergo surgery in late December and, according to his doctors, will not require chemotherapy or radiation. He expects about one month of recovery before returning to the stage.

Because of the recovery period, his January 2026 concerts have been rescheduled to dates between February and April 2026. Tickets will remain valid for the new shows. Manilow is also expected to resume his Las Vegas residency at Westgate beginning Valentine’s weekend in February.

In his message, Manilow reassured fans with optimism and humor, thanked them for their support, and encouraged everyone to seek medical care if something feels off. He expressed confidence in his recovery and said he looks forward to performing again soon.
